Saturday, June 8th, 11:00 AM, Picnic at the Arb
This year’s spring picnic is at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen on Hwy. 5.
The Margot Picnic Shelter Area has three picnic shelters. We have reserved picnic Shelter ‘B’. The shelters are located beyond the main parking lots and before the Learning Center. MDS paid the rental fee so all you have to say at the gate is that you are a guest of the MDS picnic.
Education: Correct topping of dahlias
All of the shelters have electrical outlets for your crock pots etc., along with seating for 80 people in an enclosed shelter, with additional picnic seating outside of the shelters.
We will be starting at 11:00 a.m. Come out and enjoy the Arboretum and visit the Dahlia Trial Garden. There will be a short general meeting and time to ask your dahlia questions. Please bring a dish to share and your picnic utensils. Drinks will be provided.
Board Meeting
There will be a board meeting before the picnic starts. Need at least an hour so plan to be there before 10 am.
