What is the best way to plant show worthy dahlias? We discussed different approaches and practices at our last general meeting, and will now share what we actually did at the Trial Garden this year.
Paul E. Mohr, 87, of Corcoran, went home to heaven on Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was a long time member of MDS and ADS. His loved his hobbies, some of which included building wood duck houses, fishing, gardening, growing dahlias and creating games and inventions.
A longtime member of Minnesota Dahlia Society & ADS, Clare passed away on 2/24/17. He and his loving wife Inez were exuberant about dahlias and Clare enthusiastically offered his warmth & humor to all. He served for many years as a Candidate/Apprentice, Accredited, Senior and Honorary judge.
Saturday, April 8th- Tuber Bagging Party 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
I usually wait till mothers day to start planting our tubers directly into the garden but some dahlia growers like to get started earlier. So what can you do now, or soon? First, plan to come to the Spring Tuber Sale because there will be experts on hand to answer your question.
You are invited to sign up for a time and role at our annual MDS Tuber Sale. This is a great opportunity to participate and help the club and it is just for a couple hours on this one day. We really value you and want to include you.
